FAQ

When does your shop get updated?

Please checkout my Instagram account @hu_made and sign up for my newsletter (located at the bottom of the site) to stay in the loop on shop updates, goings-on from the studio, and insider info. Otherwise I will post pertinent updates and news on the banner at the top of my site.

Do you accept wholesale orders? Do you accommodate bulk orders?

Please email hellohumade@gmail.com for more info.

Do you do trunk shows?

If you are a local yarn shop who would be interested in displaying some of my yarns then please let me know.

Do you take custom orders?

Not at this time.

How do I care for my yarn and yarn projects made out of Hu Made?

Wool Yarn: I recommend hand washing with cool water and a bit of wool wash such as Eucalan, then lay flat to dry. The colors are washfast however with darker colors a little bleeding may occur on the first wash, this is normal.

Watercolor Cotton: Colors may bleed upon first rinse, this is perfectly normal for hand
dyed cellulose (cotton) fiber so do not worry if this happens! Once you finish creating your garment, to block please hand wash with cool water and lay flat to dry.

My order looks different than the one on your website images?

Though I use the same recipe for each batch of yarn, each skein is unique and may vary slightly.  This just means you are getting a totally one of a kind skein of yarn to work with :) I work hard to make sure that each color way is as close to the original as I can get it to be.

What are your F.O.A.K. / OOAK yarns?

This stands for Few Of A Kind / One of a Kind skeins. These are more rare experimental skeins that are usually left from testing or I simply wanted to make a smaller batch. These may or may not be repeated color ways so snatch them up when they're available!
